About Us

Sparta opened in Walnut Creek, CA in 2004, with a vision: to produce not just champions in the ring but “CHAMPIONS IN LIFE”.

We believe in teaching solid fundamentals, with a challenging curriculum, in a fun and supportive environment, to develop a strong body, a proper mental and ethical attitude; qualities our students can build upon and use throughout their life.

We fully incorporate the five tenets of Taekwondo in our training: “Courtesy”, “Integrity”, “Perseverance”, “Self- Control” and “Indomitable Spirit”.
All our instructors are certified Kukkiwon Black Belts and carefully selected to insure that proper instruction and care is given to every Sparta student.
